Direct bus to the protest march against the World Economic Forum 2026

The direct bus to the protest march against the World Economic Forum 2026 enabled 50 additional activists from Germany to participate in the action in Davos organized by StrikeWEF. The shared journey, accommodation, and two-day march fostered exchange, networking, and preparation for collective action. With up to 600 participants, the protest march achieved significant visibility and presented a counter-narrative to the economically driven positions of the WEF.

Particularly valuable was the mix of experienced activists and newcomers, as well as the international exchange—especially with participants from the Global South. This strengthened global perspectives on climate justice and enabled mutual learning.

The trip served not only mobilization but also movement-building: informal encounters, traveling together, and shared responsibilities—such as care work—strengthened the sense of community. At the same time, it became clear that future formats should better address different needs for rest and exchange.

The funding provided by the Care for Future Foundation made it possible to once again offer this direct bus through Solibus e.V., thereby enabling a further 50 people to take part in the protest march.
